DIEGO RACCONI
Diego Racconi nasce a Milano nel 1968 e rimane attratto fin da giovane dalle arti e dalla pittura. Frequenta corsi d'arte, gruppi culturali e atelier di maestri per apprendere le diverse tecniche pittoriche. Dopo un percorso figurativo classico, sviluppa nel tempo una personale ricerca incentrata sull’astrattismo. Amante del mare, decide di strutturare il progetto artistico e culturale “Mare Arte”. La ricerca artistica dell'autore si incentra su opere astratte ispirate al mare, alcune basate su aforismi di autori famosi. I lavori vengono dipinti con colori acrilici diluiti in acqua di mare e applicati con spugne naturali. L'utilizzo per la realizzazione delle opere di tessuti normalmente usati in ambito nautico, eccedenze di produzione di velerie e aziende tessili, rappresenta una ricerca nell'ambito del riciclo e riuso creativo. Le opere sono rifinite con vernice fotocatalitica che grazie all'azione della luce, purificano l'aria ambientale dalle sostanze nocive. L'idea è quella di rappresentare in maniera simbolica, l'importanza degli oceani per la sopravvivenza della vita sul nostro pianeta, grazie alla loro azione di produzione di ossigeno.
L'artista ha proposto i propri lavori all'interno del progetto artistico e culturale di mail-art “Mare Arte”, coinvolgendo artisti di tutto il mondo. Ha organizzato con le opere donate dai diversi autori una esposizione collettiva itinerante.
L’artista ha inoltre recentemente scritto la favola per bambini “Salviamo il Mare!” per una sensibilizzazione delle giovani generazioni al rispetto per il mondo sommerso. Il racconto viene diffuso in biblioteche, musei marittimi e club nautici, invitando i ragazzi a cimentarsi come artisti e realizzare delle opere in tema con la fiaba. I lavori pervenuti andranno a costituire una raccolta che verrà pubblicata in una apposita sezione del sito web. A fine anno tutti i lavori verranno inseriti su una pubblicazione contenente la fiaba e tutte le opere dei ragazzi ad essa ispirate.
L'artista partecipa con propri lavori a eventi e mostre collegate con il mondo marino, facendo conoscere l'iniziativa ad un pubblico ampio e diversificato.
La vendita delle opere dell'artista serve per autofinanziare il proseguimento dell'iniziativa e per una attività di charity per il mare.
Diego Racconi was born in Milan in 1968 and was attracted to the arts and painting from a young age. He attends art courses, cultural groups and masters' ateliers to learn different painting techniques. After a classical figurative path, over time he developed a personal research focused on abstraction. Lover of the sea, he decided to structure the artistic and cultural project "Mare Arte". The author's artistic research focuses on abstract works inspired by the sea, some based on aphorisms by famous authors. The works are painted with acrylic colors diluted in sea water and applied with natural sponges. The use of fabrics normally used in the nautical sector, production surpluses from sailmakers and textile companies, for the creation of the works represents research in the field of recycling and creative reuse. The works are finished with photocatalytic paint which, thanks to the action of light, purifies the ambient air from harmful substances. The idea is to represent in a symbolic way the importance of the oceans for the survival of life on our planet, thanks to their action of producing oxygen.
The artist proposed his works within the artistic and cultural mail-art project "Mare Arte", involving artists from all over the world. He organized a traveling collective exhibition with the works donated by the various authors.
The artist also recently wrote the children's story "Let's Save the Sea!" to raise awareness among young generations of respect for the underwater world. The story is disseminated in libraries, maritime museums and nautical clubs, inviting children to try their hand as artists and create works on the theme of the fairy tale. The works received will form a collection that will be published in a specific section of the website. At the end of the year all the works will be included in a publication containing the fairy tale and all the children's works inspired by it.
The artist participates with his own works in events and exhibitions connected to the marine world, making the initiative known to a large and diversified audience. The sale of the artist's works serves to self-finance the continuation of the initiative and for a charity activity for the sea.
